A little detective work coupled with dumb luck (mainly the latter) led to this discovery. A video shot by Subquark it seems. How do I know? Well, it is more of a guess and rouse in my first post as a guest author of the iliveisl blog.
A quick introduction – as an avid virtual world participant, I came across Ener Hax last year and the delightful iliveisl estate. I have worked on projects with both Ener and subQuark since that time. My invitation to blog here stems from some of the pro bono publico work I do in-world.
What are the clues in this video? First it has to do with the subject matter – a 3D tour of a conference room. If you look at the video lesson that subQuark did for last year’s eLearning Guild DevLearn Conference (I was there as well as at his TxDLA presentation) you will see the same conference table and the use of Corn office chairs (also in subQuark and Ener’s first video). Secondly, the use of a Victoria Arduino Espresso Machine, this espresso machine is rare in Second Life, mainly due to it’s obscurity and price. It is proudly displayed at the Enaxia Art Gallery. Upon searching tonight, the shop for it seems to be gone. That is a shame - but such is the way of Second Life.
So the Hax’s wanted to see how thorough my observation is, how is this? Did I call this one right? MDR (French for lol), while looking for the links to add to this post, I found conclusive evidence that this is indeed subQuarks work! I found the same video in his blip.tv account.
So much for proving my detective skills! Incidentally, here is subQuark’s work as a promotional video for the TxDLA.
Look for a monthly blog from yours truly and have fun isl! (the “have fun isl” should be a trademark of Ener Hax!)
