since Enercity Park will poof on saturday, i decided to take more pics of the tier centre since the zeppelin moored at the top hangs out into the park *i really love the zepellin*

next to the Eville Atomic Lounge, it’s probably my favourite build (the zep), speaking of the Eville lounge, i am building one in subQuark’s reaction grid dealio just because i would be way too sad to not have it

anyway, the tier center, lol, maybe it should the the tear centre! it used to be in that park back when openspace sims where 3750 prims. but when that changed, i had to move it. so that meant loings a parcel in Enercity Easton for it. being ever so clever, i selected the entire things and proceeded to drag it across the sim border, being slow and deliberate. at that time i had 110 or 120 tier boxes with 101 of them in use. so i was nervous about that the most. the tier boxes held the records of all those tenants (btw, i ran the estate alone then). so i get it just right, it all was looking great and then i unselected it thinking “phew” that was easy!

boing!!! a second later half the thing shifted a half metre! wtf? how could it do that? doh! double doh! if you know me, then you know i am rather OCD! everything has to be totally lined up and on the same numbers. what was a 30 second move, turned into a two day ordeal! not so glamorous to be an estate owner (i have always called myself the estate janitor anyway – even the dumb zombies boss me around!) =D

the tier centre was fun to build and designed to hold 104 sim maps. the first phase was intended to be 52 sims. well we made it to 19. if the openspace thing would not have happened, we were projected to hit 52 sims last October and the growth we had till December 2008 was in line with that. but after Jack Linden’s announcement, i was a good little soldier and helped the residents move over to full sims before the January 4th cut-off date. so to reward doing things along the schedule laid out by the Lab, Jack decided to announce AFTER January 4th that we would be given another year. great, thanks for bending me over and shafting me, you could have at least put a little grease on it! (lol, very crude thing a jamaican friend in miami used to say about getting screwed) =p

that was kind of the turning point of the estate. i gave everyone that was displaced (33 people, all with beautiful homes and 1000 prims as public water) a free month on full sims for the trouble

well most took the free month and then left =( i had one guy, probably the only resident i ever had that i did not absolutely love (i liked him, but did not love him) named Oben. he was very demanding and a prim hog. always asking for a few more prims and being the person i am, did my best to oblige him. well with the openspace getting converted, i did keep two as homesteads which meant moving him. but he told me he would be on vacation at the time his sim was being converted. so i did not want him to come back to have all his 1200 prims returned as unnamed coalesced prims. so i clicked each of those frigging 1200 prims and returned them! so what is that like 2 clicks each (select and click return?). it took like 40 minutes to do this and five minutes (FIVE MINUTES) later he came on and said, oh hi, i got back yesterday but didn’t think of getting my things! and i had IMed him to remind him just in case he got in before the sim poofed. ugh

then after helping him set up on a new sims and spending hours moving this and terraforming that and adding more land to him, he moved a week later! $#@!* and he moved to a homestead that was split into four parcels, not three like the ones in iliveisl! i hope he choked on his 937 prims (lol someone is kind of venting but i hope you find it amusing, because it is stupidly funny – am laughing to myself in recounting it!) =D

wow, what a rant! i do go off on tangents!

anyway, the tier centre, supposed to look kinda futuristic mod from the 60’s and made with some megaprims. the roof housed the World’s Largest Cocktail Napkin and had the Ecity Coffee and Pizza Spot with a 1905 brass espresso machine and pizza! it’s also a spot that i placed free builds in a box for people to have and use
